On Thursday 16th January,  5th class pitted their chess skills against the 1st and 2nd year students in De La Salle college. It was a great experience for everyone and some of the 5th class boys even managed to win a few games of chess against their older peers. Chess has proven to be very beneficial in relation to maths problem solving strategies.
